A Social Passport Travel App

Purpose
A mobile-first web application designed for tracking travel experiences through digital Passports. The goal is to provide a private, local tool for travel enthusiasts to own and track their travel data. Passports aren’t just limited to regions like states or countries, but they are desgined to track just about anything. The app connects friends, enables verification of experiences, and creates a marketplace for unique, community-driven passports.
Key Features
- Passports:
- Official Passports: Pre-loaded passports to track visits (National Parks, MLB Stadiums, Lego Stores, Buc-ee’s).
- Personal Passports: Full flexibility to create and edit custom tracking passports.
- Standardized Views:
- Map View: A clean vector map using pins (for specific coordinates) or regions (for highlighting states/countries).
- List View: A sortable, filtered list of locations categorized by “Visited” or “Planned.”
- Passport View: A digital “Stamp Book” layout organized into a grid system.
Social Integration
- The Discovery Hub: A central marketplace/library to find featured, branded, or community-created passports.
- Comparison Dashboards: Side-by-side “VS” views to compare progress bars and completeness with friends.
- Activity Feed: A real-time log of friend activity (e.g., John visited and stamped Grand Canyon National Park) to encourage healthy competition.
